Project Manager

Colite Technologies designs and delivers a portfolio of environmentally friendly solutions to commercial and industrial markets that support corporate sustainability goals and objectives. The portfolio includes renewable powered outdoor lighting systems powered by solar, wind and battery storage, commercial solar systems, microgrid systems, and LED retrofits for indoor and outdoor lighting. Colite Tech is seeking an experienced project manager to support the rapid growth of this business. This position is responsible for executing project orders within the constraints of budget, schedule and scope while minimizing risk, maximizing customer satisfaction, and ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies.

PAY RANGE: $55,000 to $75,000

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop project plans factoring milestone schedule, budget, risk, change opportunity management, and resource requirements including third party contractors
  • Act as primary interface with customers during the project execution and engage other team members, including Sales, as necessary to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage material acquisition, any required subcontract scope, and any other required processes to ensure projects are implemented on time and in accordance with all contract requirements.
  • Manage and maintain internal milestone and key project parameter reporting and engage management to provide status updates according to an agreed schedule.
  • Determine requirements and manage compliance with any local building and permitting codes.
  • Drive resolution of any issues that arise during execution of the project.
  • Contribute to and drive a continuous improvement culture for project management process and methodology
Experience & Education Required

The successful candidate will possess an entrepreneurial spirit, exhibiting professionalism, high energy level, significant commitment, “roll up your sleeves style,” and demonstrated interest in supporting the growth of new businesses.

  •  Entrepreneurial spirit with proven track record in successfully leading complex projects
  • At least 5 years’ experience delivering complex projects.
  •  Working knowledge of renewable energy and/or LED lighting projects is preferred.
  •  Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines in a fast pace, rapidly changing environment with demonstrated Program/Project management skills.
  • Demonstrated continuous process improvement mentality
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and through operational partners not under direct chain of command
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & DETAILS:

  • Minimum BS Degree in Engineering or Business
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • PMP Certification or equivalent
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Experience with Epicor or other ERP System Platforms

PV System Installation Manager

The portfolio includes renewable powered outdoor lighting systems powered by solar, wind and battery storage, commercial solar systems, microgrid systems, and LED retrofits for indoor and outdoor lighting. Colite Tech is seeking an electrical contractor experienced in designing, installing, and maintaining large commercial/industrial distributed energy systems incorporating solar and battery storage. This individual will be responsible for obtaining, holding, and maintaining the appropriate State and Municipal license(s) and ensuring that the company is qualified under and in compliance with any and all applicable laws in states we operate. The position will collaborate with solar installation teams troubleshooting electrical wiring, testing and commissioning systems, and interconnecting with grid sources. It will also partner with in-house engineering team to review system and interconnection designs for adherence to Electrical Code (NEC) and other applicable laws. Ensure system functionality and conformity to performance expectations.

Colite Technologies supplies commercial solar power systems ranging from less than 100kW to multi-MW, from roof mounted to parking canopy to ground mounted. The successful candidate will bring commercial crew management experience along with commercial electrical installation expertise to ensure the successful, high-quality execution of commercial solar projects with outstanding commercial workmanship. The candidate for this role will be a collaborative team player with exceptional communication skills and can work both autonomously and with a team.

PAY RANGE: $80,000 – $120,000

Primary Responsibilities

Supervise and oversee an electrical crew/team in the following activities:

  • Lead and supervise complete system installation including safety, all component installations, electrical crews, electricians, and apprentices
  • Develop and report on jobsite plans and job hazard analysis
  • Schedule coordination for all electrical work including with other trades or subcontractors
  • Collaborate with engineering and procurement on pre-planning of material purchases, tool and equipment requirements, labor needs, site workflow, material take-off, as-built drawings, project photos, etc.
  • Review designs and overall bills of material to ensure efficient installation effort
  • Attendance and participation at project kick-off meetings
  • Interconnection of PV system to main service panel
  • Quality control and testing of installations prior to commissioning
  • Communication with inspectors and other project stakeholders
  • Completing required documentation for install and commissioning
  • Mentorship and training of apprentice installers and electricians
  • Support building out an installation organization within the company
  • Perform other duties as required
Experience & Education Required

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • 7-9 + years of proven electrician experience installing commercial electrical PV systems
  • Expert understanding and working knowledge of electrical wiring, sizing conduit, sizing wire, and conduit bending
  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines; excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to follow/execute proper electrical standards
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to routinely climb ladders, walk up and down sloped surfaces, and work on elevated platforms, such as roofs
  • Strong focus on customer service and satisfaction is essential
  • Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards
  • Confident with computers and ability to use Microsoft Office suite and other applications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-starter and self-reliant. Capable of operating effectively with minimum supervision
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & DETAILS:

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Valid certified electrical contractor’s license in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia.
  • Valid license to practice profession (Master Electrician).
  • Valid and up to date State-Issued Driver’s License
  • NABCEP Installation Certification required
  • Knowledge of NEC Codes for 2014, 2017, 2020
  • Knowledge of backup batteries systems (e.g. Tesla, Enphase)
  • Knowledge of electrical permit applications/processes
  • Ability to work well within a team

OFFICE LOCATION:
• Columbia, SC with travel from home to job site a frequent occurrence
