Regional VP of Sales

Colite Technologies designs and delivers a portfolio of environmentally friendly solutions that support corporate sustainability goals and objectives. The portfolio includes renewable powered outdoor lighting systems powered by solar, wind and storage, commercial solar systems, microgrid systems, and LED retrofits for indoor and outdoor commercial/industrial lighting. Colite Technologies is seeking an experienced sales director to drive the rapid growth of this business within an assigned region. This position is responsible for leading all sales activities in a defined geographical region with target customer groups to include commercial & industrial real estate owners and developers, state & local governments, universities, and any other attractive segments.

Location: Raleigh, NC preferred – other locations possible

Primary Responsibilities
  • Establish plans and strategies to expand Colite Technologies’ customer base in the assigned region.
  • Develop a pipeline of renewable lighting systems, commercial solar, and LED retrofit lighting opportunities in the defined region with direct responsibility for assigned new orders target.
  • Develop additional sales channels through independent representatives to increase the sales footprint within the region.
  • Maintain all customer and pipeline activity records through the company CRM tool with frequent reports on status to management.
  • Identify prospective customers and lead customer engagement through to order closure.
  • Manage any RFP responses by driving the process across various internal and external partners.
  • Support the financial analysis and modeling of the renewable and LED technology benefits to support customer justification.
  • Attend trade shows during the year to create leads and ensure marketing and sales goals are met and new business is developed.
  • In conjunction with Upper Management, establish consistent pricing policies and procedures to ensure maximum margins while maintaining competitive pricing models.
  • Maintain working knowledge industry trends and developments, as well as competitor activities and strategies. Coordinate and manage competitive analysis and ongoing competitive and market landscape tracking activities.
  • Lead transition of secured contracts to project management and execution teams
Experience & Education Required

REQUIREMENTS:

This is a self-starter, self-motivated position requiring extensive travel within the assigned geographic region. Relocation is not expected or required.

  • Candidate must have direct marketing, sales, and contracting experience working for or with commercial real estate owners, developers, or construction companies. Additional experience with municipal and county governments and or universities is a plus.
  • C&I Rooftop Solar experience greatly preferred
  • Demonstrated success in consistently hitting multimillion-dollar quotas
  • NABCEP Technical Sales Certification is a plus
  • Experience building third party sales channels preferred.
  • Knowledge of renewable technology, energy efficiency and sustainability business process is preferred.
  • Ability to perform (or be taught to perform) basic site surveys as needed to gather information for Engineering
  • A network of relationships with target customer communities and associations is preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
  • Formal sales training is preferred
  • Ability to effectively present information to public groups, C-level management, and/or boards of directors.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & DETAILS:

  • Minimum BS, BA Degree with MBA Preferred
  • Experience with solar system modeling software is preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Experience with Hubspot, Salesforce, Zoho or comparable CRM platform

Crew Leader

The portfolio includes renewable powered outdoor lighting systems powered by solar, wind and battery storage, commercial solar systems, microgrid systems, and LED retrofits for indoor and outdoor lighting. Colite Technologies is seeking an experienced crew leader to support the rapid growth of this business. This position is responsible for leading a team of three to four installers to safely install and commission rooftop commercial solar project orders to high quality standards within the constraints of budget, schedule, and scope.

PAY: Hourly

Primary Responsibilities
  • Complete all aspects of solar installation including layout and assembly of solar panels, structural mounts and ballasts, electrical Balance of Systems, and final commissioning.
  • Install equipment, cables and panels, bend and install conduit, pull and terminate wire, and install various control components and devices.
  • Tie in solar system to utility interconnection.
  • Ensure all projects pass jurisdictional requirements.
  • Review project Bill of Material at loading dock to ensure that assigned crew truck is adequately stocked for assigned projects.
  • Act as primary point of contact at site representing Colite Technologies to our customers, permitting authorities and host utilities.
  • Recruit and coach crew members to ensure a competent team is in place to meet the demands of a growing business.
  • Maintain a culture of accountability by directing daily activities of crew members and overseeing quality of their work.
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture that optimizes quality, customer satisfaction and schedule completion.
Experience & Education Required

  • Previous solar installation experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
  • Ability to test voltages from 10V – 1000V DC / 120V – 480V AC.
  • Frequent travel as project sites are located throughout the southeastern states.
  • Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines in a fast pace, rapidly changing environment with demonstrated Program/Project management skills.
  • Demonstrated continuous process improvement mentality.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & DETAILS:

  • Journeyman electrical license in South Carolina and/or reciprocating state
  • Knowledgeable of NFPA 70E, NEC and Electrical Safety
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus
  • OSHA10 or greater

Mechanical Installer I/II

We procure, store at our warehouse, and deliver to project sites all material required to install a complete solar system including solar panels, inverters and electrical balance of system components.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Colite Technologies is seeking an experienced Mechanical Installer to support the rapid growth of this business. This position is responsible for supporting a team of three to four installers to safely install and commission rooftop commercial solar project orders to high quality standards within the constraints of budget, schedule, and scope.

PAY: $22 – $28 an hour.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Solar panel installation including layout and assembly of solar panels, structural mounts and ballasts.
  • When needed, assist electricians with mounting inverters, electrical panels, disconnect switches and other mechanical installation issues related to installing electrical balance of systems.
  • Ensure all projects pass jurisdictional requirements.
  • Maintain a culture of accountability and pride in your work.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Colite Technologies is seeking an experienced electrician to support the rapid growth of our renewable solutions business. This position is responsible for installing electrical equipment such as inverters, disconnects, cables and panels, bending/installing conduit, pulling and terminating wire, and commissioning various control components and devices required to complete the installation of commercial rooftop solar systems. Our projects are located throughout the southeastern United States. Frequent travel is required, however, most work is performed during weekdays.

The portfolio includes renewable powered outdoor lighting systems powered by solar, wind and battery storage, commercial solar systems, microgrid systems, and LED retrofits for indoor and outdoor lighting. Colite Technologies is seeking an apprentice installer to support the rapid growth of this business. This position is an entry-level apprentice position meant to assist and learn from the crew lead and experienced crew members, to safely install and commission rooftop commercial solar project orders to high quality standards within the constraints of budget, schedule, and scope.

Pay: $15 – $19.20 an hour.
